How Evaporative Cooling Works
An Evaporative Cooler is a ducted air conditioning system that uses the process of evaporation to cool your entire home.
When a Evaporative Cooler is turned on, the large filter pads inside the unit are saturated with fresh water to ensure the best possible results from the evaporation process.
Fresh air is then drawn from outside your home into the Evaporative Cooler via the unit’s fan. As the air passes through the wet filter pads, the pads act as a filter for any dust, pollen or pollutants that may be in the air.
The air is then circulated to your home through strategically placed outlets (or vents) into each room you would like to cool.
Evaporative Cooling requires you to keep your doors and windows open for the air to escape. By doing this, you ensure that you are getting the best possible cooling effect and cleanest air for your home.
In order for your system to work effectively, the air in the entire house should be replaced once every two (2) minutes.
Gas Ducted Heating
Ducted central heating comprises a central heating unit, which is connected to a series of outlets. Positioned strategically throughout your home, these outlets, or ducts, are installed either in the floor or ceiling. Positioning of the heating unit depends on your house. If your house is built on a concrete slab, the unit is installed in the roof. If it has space underneath or a very low roof line, the unit is installed outside or under the floor. The ductwork, which connects the outlets to the heating unit, is neatly tucked away out of sight.
How Ducted Heating Works
The heating unit draws air from inside your house into a return air grille. From here it then flows into the heater where it’s warmed, and then on to every room of your home via outlets, in the form of warm, gentle air.
